Anime Film Series@Pacific Asia Museum

Today, enjoy special late gallery hours and a screening of Mobile Suit Gundam: The Movie at Pacific Asia Museum.

 

All galleries, including The Samurai Re-Imagined: From Ukiyo-e to Anime, will be open until the film starts at 8pm.

 

Screened under the stars in the beautiful Courtyard; picnics, blankets and beach chairs welcome!  (In case of inclement weather, screening will be in the Auditorium.)  Presented in a newly remastered format, with Japanese audio and English subtitles.

What is LAYAPALOOZA? It’s a live game show that tests contestants’ knowledge of young adult and middle grade literature with games GUARANTEED to amaze and amuse.  Join Vroman’s for a pizza party with a whole bunch of your favorite YA authors.
Pizza, games, prizes, and a chance to mix and mingle with your favorite YA author and get books signed!!

Tibetan Dance Workshop

Dr. Lin Lerner, director of Lingdro Tibetan Ritural Dance Troupes, will teach a beginner’s class based on the dances of Gesar of Ling, a fabled enlightened warrior-king of Tibet.  In this one-day workshop, learn about Gesar’s epic exploits, dance and spirituality in Tibet, and the tradition of dance as a moving meditation.  Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring a notebook and markers or colored pencils. 

Museum Members: $15

Non-members, Students and Seniors: $20

Non-members , General Public: $25
