Town Hall Meeting with Steve Madison

District 6 Councilmember Steve Madison, in response to constituent requests, is hosting a Town Hall meeting for residents of the downtown area of Pasadena, east of Pasadena Ave.   It’s the first in a series of neighborhood-specific meetings Madison plans to host this year in his district.

We receive extensive feedback on issues such as Central Park, homeless activity, public works projects, etc. We encourage you to use this opportunity to communicate your concerns on these or any topics pertinent to the downtown neighborhoods.

The meeting’s special guest will be Vince Bertoni, director of Planning for the City. With Pasadena in the process of updating the Land Use and Mobility chapters of the General Plan, his comments should be of great interest to all.

The meeting, set for 6:30 to 8:00pm, Wednesday, February 15, will be held in Room 207 of the Pasadena Convention Center, 300 East Green Street.  Parking is available at Paseo Colorado (1.5 hours free with validation), on neighboring streets and at the Convention Center (flat fee).  For more information, call (626) 744-4739.

We are so sad to say goodbye to Elements Kitchen in the Playhouse District. Chef-owner Onil Chibas announced on Facebook yesterday that his two-year old Pasadena Playhouse adjacent restaurant was closing for good. He stated:

Hi fans. It is with much sadness that I announce that Elements Kitchen has officially closed. Thank you all for the wonderful memories and support over these past two years…it’s been such a great ride and I’m grateful to all of you! Sincerely, Onil Chibas.

We wish Onil the best of luck in his future endeavors! Read more about the closing in the L.A. Weekly: LINK.
