Lee’s Sandwiches

We are excited to welcome a new business to the Playhouse District: Lee’s Sandwiches! Their newest location is at 766 E. Colorado Blvd, Ste 100, right across from Target. They have a large selection of Asian sandwiches, European sandwiches, desserts, drinks, and much more. In addition to offering great food, Lee’s strives to give back to the community. They contributed and helped raised funds after the terrorist attacks of 9-11, Hurricane Katrina, the floods in Vietnam, and the earthquakes in Mexico. They also donate food to local charities and sponsor various community and non-profit events.

Japon Bistro is open again!

Japon Bistro’s celebrated an exciting re-opening on Wednesday, May 16th with live music, food and sake specials. Japon Bistro suffered a terrible flooding last New Year’s and has had to completely demolish and rebuild their restaurant space.  After being closed for renovations for more than 3 ½ months, the doors were once again open for business on April 18th, 2012.

Pasadena Farmers’ Market coming to the Playhouse District!

We are so excited to welcome a Farmers’ Market to our district at the northeast corner of El Molino Avenue and Union Street, just a few blocks north of E. Colorado Boulevard. The market will be open on Wednesdays from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm from May 16 through Sept. 26. Hope to see you there!

The Pasadena Museum of California Art (PMCA) and Pasadena City College (PCC) present Tomorrow Today, an exhibition featuring work by current art and design students at PCC, one of California’s premiere community colleges. The student work ranges from conceptual projects to traditional crafts, reflecting the generational perspectives and personal idiosyncrasies of an extraordinarily diverse community of student artists. Christopher Miles, distinguished art writer, curator and artist, will jury the exhibition.
