The Tender Greens location in the Playhouse District will host a visual tribute to the community of Pasadena with a permanent display of 8 new works by Chris Reccardi and two new pieces by contemporary artist Kii Arens (whose art graces the walls of Tender Greens Hollywood)
These vibrant and whimsical new pieces depict the lives of two characters, captured in subtle emotional moments amidst their entwining paths from childhood to old age. Set against the unique backdrop of Pasadena’s many legendary landmarks, these scenes attempt to capture the beauty and character of one of California’s oldest cities—and arguably one of the first modern suburbs in America—from its rich past to its lively present.
These art pieces were painstakingly ‘painted’ digitally, and reproduced in stunning detail as large format canvas Giclee prints (the largest measures 36 x 72″! ) These fine prints will all be available as limited editions in the near future.
We hope your eating experience is enhanced as much by this art as the tasteful items on Tender Greens’ menu!
This Friday, July 8, Tender Greens will be opening a new location in the Playhouse District!
Tender Greens takes pride in serving fresh, local produce, organic ingredients whenever possible, hormone-free beef and poultry, and wild-caught tuna. But that’s not all. Tender Greens uses the finest olive oils, cheeses, nuts, spices — you name it! With menu items ranging from soups and salads to meaty sandwiches and hot plates, there’s something for everyone (even vegans!).

We are happy to welcome two new businesses coming to the Playhouse District this spring/summer.
With locations throughout Southern California, Tender Greens is dedicated to healthy eating on the go, with a strong belief in “… a conscious connection between the one who eats the food and the source of that sustenance.” Their menus offer sandwiches made on artisanal breads, fresh baked desserts, and delicious salads. We can’t wait to try them out ourselves!
2. Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana
The Playhouse District location of Settebello will be their first in Southern California! Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana was created in 2005 to bring an authentic Napoli style pizza to the Las Vegas area. Owner Brad Otton was trained as a pizzaiolo in Napoli by renowned pizzaiolo Enzo Coccia. Settebello is dedicated to the preservation of the history and integrity of the Napoletana pizza making process. Enzo has also been featured recently in Food and Wine magazine as well as the New York Times. We are excited to try all the different Settebello pizzas!
