Second Saturday Spotlight Talk @ PMCA on Saturday, June 10, 2:00 pm
A PMCA docent leads an engaging and insightful 20–minute discussion about a work of art currently on view in our South Gallery exhibition Gustave Baumann in California. This month’s focus: Five Progressive Proofs for Singing Trees by Gustave Baumann. Gustave Baumann in California gives an insider look into the printmaking process of one of America’s foremost color printmakers, Gustave Baumann. In these progressive proofs, the different layers of color and functions of the blocks are more readily apparent and legible than in the finished prints (also on view in the exhibition).
